WE ALL NEED AN ATTIC....EVEN IN THE VIRTUAL WORLD
Here are some samples of the stuff currently in mine !

There's a really big attic in this old New England house, pictured on the right. Blow-me-Down Brook Farm became our home shortly after I arrived with my family from England to teach at Dartmouth College. The house, built in 1777 by the local blacksmith, has weathered many winters and seen some glorious summers, as was the one depicted here. It has had time aplenty to accumulate the many fascinating treasures hidden under its roof. In contrast, the treasures stored here are mainly videos and vignettes from my
discussions over the years, plus some  clippings from the web that I personally have found of interest , and you may too. Some are just waiting to take their formal place on the website....

I HAVE PARTICULAR AFFECTION FOR THE ANIMATED LECTURE BY IAIN McGILCHRIST, FEATURED HERE ON THE RIGHT. Dr. McGilchrist, a distiguished British psychiatrist, is the author of The Master and His Emissary. He lives on the Isle of Skye, off the northwest coast of Scotland.

C-Span recently covered Dr. Whybrow in a Book Discussion on The Well-Tuned Brain. the video of the evening is below....
Speaking at the Semel Institute, in this C-Span video Whybrow talks about his book The Well-Tuned Brain: Neuroscience and the Life Well Lived. in which he argues that human brains are not wired for modern society. The human brain is a composite: the' “ancient brain” focuses on short-term survival and responds well to our economic system, which rewards short-term gains, but is not well-suited to deal with major long-term problems like global warming. After the lecture there follows a lively discussion with Professor Andrew Leuchter, including questions from the audience....
